THE COUTURE METHOD A couture gown is the result of a measured process of planning, refinement and construction which can involve hours upon hours of hand- crafting before the final silhouette is complete. It is this attention to detail and dedication to craftsmanship that ensures the perfect fit and finish to the gown. WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT When you make your appointment you will be given the option of booking a one on one consultation with Alana or you may choose to simply come for a viewing to see if you like the collection. A bespoke service is also available should you wish to create a unique design with Alana or look at incorporating elements of existing styles with some of your own ideas. Alana will discuss your ideas and sketch some designs to match your budget and time-frame. Once a design has been decided on a precise set of measurements will be taken to allow Alana to make up a calico toile for your first fitting appointment. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MAKE MY GOWN Varying factors can determine how long your gown will take to reach its completion stage including complexity of design chosen and the level of detail and hand-beading on the gown. As a guide however you can expect it to take between 3 and 6 months from the initial fitting. |
